Nature is not a place to visit. It is home. - Gary Snyder |
The purpose of the Camping Library at the Winnetka Community House is to provide some of the more expensive equipment involved in camping, like tents or cooking supplies, to encourage people to go camping more often or to try it for the first time. If you’ve never camped before, that’s okay. Here is a good place to start; just checkout the equipment you need from the Camping Library and give it a try. For more information about how to use the Camping Library, go to the "Checkout & Return" page.
Some places in the local area that allow camping are Crow Island in Winnetka, the Little House of Glencoe in Glencoe, and Emily Oaks Nature Center in Skokie. |
